The DIM Math Innov provides funding for up to 5 post-doctoral positions in mathematics and in computer science for the 2019-2020 academic year. Appointed fellows will hold one-year positions in affiliated research laboratories, starting in October 2019.
Positions are open to holders of a doctorate in mathematics or computer science. Laureates of this program must have defended their thesis before the beginning of the post-doctoral contract (otherwise he/she cannot be hired. Recruiting date at the earliest : september 1st. Recruiting date at the latest : October 1st)
This position is also open to applicants which scientific project is in compliance with the DIM Math Innov's line of research (emerging mathematics, interfacing with the business world, opening to new fields of mathematics and technology of the future and those which bring innovation. The priority themes of the DIM Math Innov are topics related to data sciences, with application sectors such as energy, banking-finance-insurance, aeronautics, health, transport-telecommunication networds, smart cities.
Each post-doctoral fellow will receive a net salary of € 2,500.00 per month* and will receive health and welfare insurance.
*This amount does not take into account the withholding tax. Since January 2019, income tax is directly deducted from wages. The default tax rate is appromixmately 8%. It depends on your family situation.
Postdoctoral contract must start on September 1st or October 1st at the latest.
They will contribute to the scientific activities of his/herlaboratory, particularly with regard to seminars and working groups.
At the end of their contract, fellows will write a report on their scientific accomplishment, comparing it to their initial project, and describing their professional goals.

Candidates will also need to request the following recommendations from qualified professionals, who will then submit them online (a direct link will be sent to them via email):
- One or two letters of recommendation thoroughly assessing the candidates' work written by scientists not affiliated with the DIM' Math Innov's laboratories
- A detailed letter of recommendation from their tutor at the host institution that explains how the applicant's scientific project is in line with the institution's project *
*It is mandatory for each applicant to have a tutor inside their desired host laboratory. This tutor will have to write a letter of recommendation.
Furthermore, we strongly advise you to keep in touch with the head of the host laboratory to define a post-doctoral project in agreement with the team's/laboratory's themes.

The Paris Region Fellowship Programme (ParisRegionFP) is an EU co-funded Marie Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA) in the frame of European Commissions H2020 programme that will strengthen the research capacity and international influence of the Paris Region, in France. The two main challenges of the 5-year programme starting in January 2021 are to :
- Recruit a total of 52 international leaders of all nationalities at post-doctoral positions in research and innovation, covering a large panel of disciplines
- Provide intersectoral mobility, specifically created professional training and career development measures for these experienced researchers
